This "next step up" class focuses on sharper obedience work with an eye toward AKC Obedience competition in the Novice Ring.  Off leash heeling is introduced, and fine-tuning other exercises such as the Competition Recall, Figure 8, and Group Exercises are emphasized. This is an excellent preparatory class if you are considering competition in the AKC Obedience ring. First-time competitors as well as seasoned showmen are welcome to attend in preparation for earning the AKC Companion Dog title.   Vaccination records are required and must be presented the first night of class, and please DO BRING YOUR DOG to the first night.  You will also need a 6 foot leather leash and an appropriately sized slip-type training collar.     

Children over the age of 12 are invited to train (with head trainer permission) as long as a parent or guardian is registered for the class AND REMAINS IN ATTENDANCE THROUGHOUT THE CLASS PERIOD.
