- Puppy Class
- A great socialization and obedience primer for puppies 12-20 weeks of age
- Introduction to Dog Obedience
- A basic foundation class for all dogs who are at least 6 months old
- Advanced Novice Obedience
- A "next step up" class for dogs who have mastered Pre Novice exercises and are interested in AKC obedience competition. This class covers perfecting exercises required to compete in the AKC Novice Obedience ring to earn the Companion Dog title. Recalls, heeling, group exercises, and detail work are all covered, as are explanations of the exercises, judging, and more! This class is for "rookie" competitors as well as seasoned veterans working with a Novice-level dog.
- AKC Rally Obedience
- This challenging, advanced class is for those interested in RALLY. RALLY uses the exercises learned in traditional obedience class in a new, fun way. Less intense than traditional obedience competition, RALLY is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that is laid out in stations. Each station has a sign describing the activity. Owners are encouraged to talk to and praise their dogs while performing in the ring. This class will help the dog and handler learn the techniques to successfully perform RALLY exercises.
- Canine Good Citizen
- This busy, six-week class is designed to help handlers and dogs master the necessary skills to successfully pass an evaluation to earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen award. Dogs with previous basic training will do well in this class. Walking on a loose leash, coming when called, and other socialization and obedience concepts are taught and are fine-tuned and are part of the evaluation offered to all students on the last night of class. For details on the AKC Canine Good Citizen award, go to www.akc.org
- Therapy Dog International
- An intense class for those persons interested in performing Therapy Dog activities with their dogs (visiting hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, children's centers, etc). Evaluations adhering to the Therapy Dog International standards are scheduled following the course to all interested parties.
