Who Is Southern Michigan Obedience Training Club?
Southern Michigan Obedience Training Club ("SMOTC") was established in 1948 as a non-profit organization. All SMOTC trainers and assistants are unpaid volunteers who participate solely for the joy of the sport and the love of dogs.
Our two primary objectives are:

1. To help you to have a well mannered canine companion
2. To encourage the participation in AKC sanctioned Obedience Trials and other events
S.M.O.T.C. welcomes dogs of all ages and breeds, including mixed breed dogs. We offer a wide range of Training Programs , from Puppy Class through Advanced & Open Training, in several locations in Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties.
At SMOTC, we know that one of the best things about owning a dog is discovering and encouraging the bond that can exist between you. When your dog knows what is expected of him, he takes pleasure in obeying you. We firmly believe that the most effective way to teach your dog is through OBEDIENCE TRAINING. Southern Michigan Obedience Training Club has been conducting successful training classes for over 50 years. You can count on the methods and processes you and your dog will learn with us.
